ARC August 2017: Sign Up and Books I Want to Read

It's that time of the year again... no, I don't mean the end of summer! I mean it's time for ARC August!

ARC August is a reading event hosted by Read.Sleep.Repeat. This year is their fifth year hosting the event, and I'm proud to say that this is my third summer participating!

So what is ARC August?

During the month of August, Octavia, Shelly, and Angie read as many ARCs that they can. They also host the event that encourages their readers and followers to do the same - Read ARCs (advance reader copies).

It doesn't matter what type of ARC it is (physical, digital, or an old ARC). All that matters is the copy you're reading is an ARC.

Just like other reading events, ARC August comes with some rules:
  • Any Advanced Reading Copy counts as part of this reading challenge; your backlist books count
  • No blog necessary to participate, but you’ll need to include some form of social media as part of your sign up
  • Use the #ARCAugust on social media to check-in
For more information on the event, feel free to check out Shelly's post.

ARC August TBR

My ARC August pile is pretty ambitious this year because I want to try to read as many books as I can before school goes back. Below are the ARCs (some now published) that I would like to read during the challenge.

Moxie by Jennifer Mathieu
Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker
We Come Apart by Sarah Crossan and Brian Conaghan
Song of the Current by Sarah Tolcser
The Inevitable Collision of Birdie and Bash by Candace Ganger
Girls Who Code: The Friendship Code by Stacia Deutsch
Girls Who Code by Reshma Saujani
Little & Lion by Brandy Colbert
The Epic Crush of Genie Lo by F.C. Yee
There's Someone Inside Your House by Stephanie Perkins
Jane, Unlimited by Kristin Cashore
Things I'm Seeing Without You by Peter Bognanni
The Exact Location of Home by Kate Messner

While I'm not one hundred percent sure I will finish all of the above books during the month of August, I am going to try my hardest. I'm thinking that if I read at least three a week, I'll be able to finish most of them and catch up on my Goodreads Reading Challenge.

Be sure to check in on Sundays next month to see my progress!

Are you participating in ARC August? If so, let me know, so we can encourage one another throughout the month. Happy ARC August, everyone!
